Bond Store Rebate Store

TThis course is intended for individuals who are employed within importer or manufacturing operations and who are required, as part of their duties, to establish, operate and maintain a Bond store Rebate Store.

It is also intended for individuals employed in, or wishing to be employed within, the Customs Clearing and Freight Forwarding industry, that may be required to advise importing or manufacturing clients as to their obligations and responsibilities in respect of the establishment and operation of a Bond Store Rebate Store, as legislated in the Customs and Excise Act 91 of 1964, hereinafter referred to as the “the Customs Act”.

Although the total figures are not available it is estimated that the amount of penalties paid to Customs annually exceeds R50Million. Listed offences include false invoicing, incorrect tariff headings, illegal imports and non-compliance to existing legislation. There are a number of other offences but Customs have sent a clear message that they are determined to eradicate all misconduct and fraudulent activities.

This is a workshop for the warehouse or stockroom manager, the person in charge of what comes in and goes out of the company. You want smooth and cost-effective operation, with enough products on hand to satisfy needs without stockpiling too much.
